Our Pool Construction Process

Phase 1: Design Refinement and Site Preparation This first step is all about making sure everything is exactly where it belongs. Once your plans are finalized and local permits are secured, we will mark the pool’s exact footprint right in your yard using paint and flags. We love having you out there with us at this stage to confirm that the layout feels just right to you. After you give us the green light, our excavation team gets ready to move in.

Phase 2: Excavation Excavation is when the transformation truly begins. Our team brings in specialized equipment to carefully dig and shape the foundation of your pool. We will talk through the logistics with you beforehand to decide whether the dug-out soil will be spread across your property to fix grading or hauled away entirely. This process usually takes one to three days, depending on your soil and yard access.

Phase 3: Reinforcement with Rebar Once the hole is shaped, we install a heavy-duty rebar framework to give your pool its immense structural strength. We primarily use thick #4 rebar, and we add a double-matting technique in areas that need extra reinforcement. This creates a robust steel cage that perfectly matches your pool’s contours and ensures it stands the test of time.

Phase 4: Plumbing and Electrical Systems Next, we lay the groundwork for the systems that keep your pool running smoothly. We use 2.5-inch plumbing lines to optimize water flow, which goes well beyond the standard 2-inch lines most builders use. We also install dual redundancy systems for maximum long-term reliability. All electrical conduits are carefully placed and thoroughly inspected for safety and code compliance before we move forward.

Phase 5: Shotcrete Application This is the exciting day where your pool finally takes its permanent shape. Our skilled crew applies shotcrete, a specialized concrete mixture, to form the solid shell, benches, steps, and spa features. This process provides incredible strength and precision. Depending on the size of your layout, this step typically takes one to two days.

Phase 6: Hardscape Installation After the concrete shell cures, we begin installing the beautiful stonework and masonry that define your outdoor living space. This includes your pool coping, waterline tile, decking, retaining walls, and the stone veneers for features like waterfalls or fire elements. Because we take the time needed to hand-craft every detail, this phase can take several weeks depending on the scale of your design.

Phase 7: Equipment Installation We set up all your essential pool equipment, including high-efficiency pumps, filters, heaters, and smart automation systems. Getting everything perfectly installed and calibrated ahead of time ensures efficient circulation, energy performance, and long-term reliability before we apply the interior finish.

Phase 8: Plaster Installation With the equipment ready, we prepare the pool interior for its final finish. Our team meticulously cleans and smooths the shotcrete shell before applying your chosen plaster or pebble finish. The following day, a careful acid wash ensures a clean, uniform surface, and we immediately begin filling the pool with water.

Phase 9: Pool Start-Up & Orientation Once the pool is full, our service team steps in to perform the start-up. We balance the water chemistry, test all mechanical systems, and sit down with you for a full, hands-on orientation so you feel completely confident operating and caring for your new pool. Within just a few days, your water will reach sparkling clarity and be ready for your first swim.

Phase 10: Landscape Installation The final phase brings the whole backyard together into a true oasis. Our landscaping team moves in to install your plants, soft lighting, irrigation, and finishing stonework. This softens the edges, frames your new pool beautifully, and connects every element of your outdoor space into a welcoming, cohesive environment tailored to your lifestyle.
